Source: Link
In this church are the graves of many of the great Italian geniuses. At the entrance are Michelangelo and Galileo Galilei. Later those of Canova, Macchiavello and Foscolo, who defined Santa Croce as the place that conserved the “Urne dei Forti” (the tombs of the great ones). At the end of the church are the chapels, with frescoes by Giotto, with the Stories of the life of San Francisco. In the “Capella dei Pazzi” (Chapel of the Fools), where Giuliano de Medici lost his life and Lorenzo the Magnificent was injured during the famous conspiracy, the Cimabue Crucifix is preserved.
