Appetizers, desserts, cocktails, sauces, you name it. The French certainly know the way to the stomach, no wonder they refer to their sought-after meals as “French Cuisine”. French cuisine stands the test of time ( from the 14th century). The culinary tradition in France has turned French cuisine into a hallmark of international identity and prestige that reflects the “French savoir faire” like no other. The history of world gastronomy owes much to the contribution of French chefs such as: Antoine Parmentier, the first to use potatoes, in addition to the art of making good bread; Antoine Beauvilliers, who is owed the concept of the “restaurant” and author of “L’Art du Cuisinier” in 1814. Other greats of French gastronomy have also shared the result of their experiences and innovations through their books: Joseph Favre (1849-1903), author of the “Grand Dictionnaire Universel de la Cuisine” (“Great Universal Dictionary of Cooking”) and creator in 1883 of the Culinary Academy of France, the oldest association that brings together the chefs of Kitchen and Pastry of the world.
