Sudan has an archeological site named Meroe where the numerous pyramids can be found. The oldest pyramid here dates back to the end of 6th or 5th century B.C. The site remained an ancient burial ground for Nubian royalties for almost 600 years in which almost 40 generations of their descendants were buried here. Click the next ARROW to see the next image!
