This started out as the Sansevero family’s private chapel, although it has now become a sort of museum that features interesting sculptures. One of these is the Veiled Christ, which is carved from solid marble but looks so lifelike that you’ll think that the figure of Christ really has a thin piece of fabric draped over him. Click the next ARROW to see the next image!
