Melissani cave was named after a Greek nymph, Melissani. It is one of the most beautiful and famous caves in the world, and certainly worth visiting. It’s famous for having an open roof deep inside it where sunlight gets in. It can only be reached by boat and is a very recommendable activity, as the sight of the inside of the cave itself is absolutely magical. The cave also has a lake with the same name. If you visit Greece, you should go spelunking in this cave. The crystal clear blue waters of the cave will mesmerize you.
