In so many ways, the Borghese Gallery and Museum is regarded as one of the most noteworthy museums in Rome. It was commissioned in 1613 by Cardinal Scipione Borghese, who happens to be an avid art collector, as well as a patron of top artists of his time. Within the walls of the museum lies some of the most impressive collection of Roman, Renaissance, and Baroque art. The museum also has a huge collection of quality sculptures by Bernini and Antonio Canova and paintings by Caravaggio. Click the next ARROW to see the next photo!
