Located on top of the Capitol Hill in Rome, Capitoline Museums is a pride to the people of Rome. The plan for the final construction of the museum was conceived in 1536 by Michelangelo himself, even though it took about 400 years for the entire project to be executed. Capitoline Museums has collections dating back 1471 some of which includes ancient Roman bronze and marble statues, medieval and Renaissance art, and elaborate frescoes. From the museum, visitors also have the opportunity of viewing the magnificent Roman Forum from the best angle anywhere in the city. Click the next ARROW to see the next photo!
