In this intimate Lombard town is the most beautiful square and one of the most harmonious Renaissance salons. It has an almost perfect symmetry, lines that draw a stately side. Only one background is wayward: that of the Baroque Duomo where the parallels are abandoned to make this square something special. It’s photogenic as is inevitable thanks to its geometric winks, although its best views are from the top, from the only tower that breaks the bland skyline: that of the castle, made by Bramante. Click the next ARROW to see the next photo!
