This country’s motto ‘Mir wëlle bleiwe wat mir sinn’ means ‘we want to remain the way we are’. This is an indication of the fact that the country wants to be independent and left as they are. In earlier times, Luxembourg was held in power by other European countries but she gained her full independence in 1867. The motto holds a strong message that should be looked up to and respected.
