Eiffel tower is the most visited structure in the world. The beautiful edifice located in France was once the tallest building in France and the world. Eiffel tower is so tall that the distance traveled by the elevators thrice in a year equals the circumference of the Earth. It was initially built to stand for only about two decades, but this structure has stood the test of time. Such grandiose! Although the name of the most famous tower in the world only refers to the French engineer who built it, Alexandre Gustave Eiffel, the truth is that its conception was a combined work of this boy and the engineers Maurice Koechlin and Émile Nouguier, in addition to the architect Stephen Sauvestre. The project was created to amaze the world during the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1889. They decided to build it at one end of the Mars Field, next to the Seine. Although initially the Eiffel Tower would have 300 meters – in fact, it was called, colloquially, the “Tower of 300 meters” – later the antenna that makes it reach 324 meters would be added. No less than 250 workers worked for two years and two months to raise this symbol of France. For more than 40 years, the Eiffel Tower was the tallest structure in the world and, although it is not, it continues to attract more than 7 million tourists every year. However, it also serves as a radio and television station.
