When you try to search this bridge on the web, you would find that someone has named it “The Bridge of Death”, which is surely not a good sign. When you look at it, it would seem like it could crumble at any moment, but you will see some large trucks crossing it, which is quite dumbfounding. The Quepos Bridge in Costa Rica is an old 1930s bridge on the road from Jaco to Quepos, just 160 km from the capital San José in Costa Rica. It is a bridge that has a continuous activity, with a lot of traffic, due to the great attraction of tourists on the wonderful beaches and in the Manuel Antonio National Park. It is rightly called the “Bridge of Death,” although it does not seem that its sudden appearance with the heavy shadow of a bush creates a feeling of fear and insecurity. This uncertainty increases when you feel the jumps of the wooden beams and the oscillation of the bridge under the heavy weight of the vehicles passing in the bridge of a passage, waiting in line. However, a new double-decker bridge has recently been built on its side, with sidewalks on both sides, which helps for a satisfying trip for the many visitors who are passionate about fishing, beaches, flora and various fauna of the area.
