Literally, its name translates to “a teahouse [built] too high”, and it is! This teahouse was built on top of two chestnut trees, which were cut from a mountain nearby and taken to the site. Basically, this one-room structure was designed by architect Terunobu Fujimori for his personal use. Click the next ARROW to see the next image!
