This church has been in existence since 1143 and is known for its stunning mosaics. Officially named Santa Maria dell’Ammiraglio, its design has undergone several transformations as seen in its Romanesque bell tower, Byzantine dome and Baroque façade. The interior walls have two mosaics taken from the original Norman façade and the mosaics were from the works of Byzantine artisans. Click the next ARROW to see the next image!
