Ukraine is the producer of the largest plane in the world, the Antonov An-225. This airplane is the heaviest airplane ever produced. It took its first flight from the Ukrainian capital, Kiev. There are many airplanes, but only one has the honor of being considered the largest aircraft in the world. We speak, of course, of the Antonov An-225 Mriya, an aircraft manufactured by Antonov in the Soviet Ukraine back in 1988. And we literally talk about an aircraft, because there is only one Antonov An-225 in the world, which is the one that operates the airline Antonov. Recently, the Antonov An-225 has been the subject of debate after the first flight of the Stratolaunch, a plane that is the largest in the world, but only as far as it goes (from one end of one wing to the other). The fuselage is smaller and, for more inri, there are two planes that cannot be compared as long as the Stratolaunch is a satellite launch aircraft that cannot be used for anything else, while the Antonov An-225 is a vehicle of commercial transport that is still in operation and that, theoretically, should continue until 2033.
