9Ring Finger of Newlyweds
Source: Link
For newlyweds in Ukraine, the ring goes to the right hand and not the left. It is plain tradition, and this tradition has been passed on from generation to generation. In many places in the world such as Austria, India, Greece, Norway, Ukraine, Venezuela, among others, the ring is worn in the right hand; and in countries like Brazil, Turkey and Lebanon, it is carried in the right hand until the wedding day, when it can be changed to the left. There are also some religions that do not require the use of a ring, or even require that it be worn on a different finger. As you can see, there are many traditions around the use of the engagement ring. The fourth finger of the left hand has been known for centuries as the “finger of the ring” because that is where the engagement ring and the wedding ring or wedding ring are placed. Traditionally these rings are made of gold, silver or platinum and are usually smooth and sometimes with a legend engraved on the inside, be it the name of the bride and groom, the date of the marriage, or a phrase that the couple chooses.
