The tallest roller coaster in the world is known as Kingda Ka. Although second only in speed in the world, it accelerates to 128mph in just 3.5 seconds. The train is guided by a hydraulic launch mechanism, which climbs to the main tower, rolls into a 90-degree angle to the right, and goes straight down through the 270-degree spiral.
