You will find these humongous and breathtaking structures all around the city of Verona. These tombs celebrate the most notable members of the Scaliger family who ruled Verona from the 13th to the latter part of the 14th century. The graves are within wrought iron grilles with an elaborate decoration of motifs, and stone pillars with statues of saints. You’ll find tombs dedicated to Cangrande I della Scala, Mastino II della Scala, Cansignorio della Scala, Alberto II della Scala, etc.
