How weird is it to chew strips of nettle stalks and keep from throwing up? This tradition has been ongoing for more than three decades and is practised in Marshwood, Dorset. Uniquely British, this tradition is said to have stemmed from what a man selling a 15-feet long nettle stalk did. He volunteered to chew his nettle stalk if someone else owns a longer one.
