South Korea is located in East Asia, constituting the southern part of the Korean Peninsula and lying east to the Asian mainland. The terrain of the country is mainly covered with mountains, and its land mass is approximately 100,363-kilometer square (38,750sqmi). South Korea’s population is about 51.4 million. Seoul is the largest city and capital of the country with over 10 million residents.  South Korea has the second lowest number of obese citizens in the world. The first country happens to be Japan.
