The largest stadium in the world- May Day Stadium is located in the North Korean city of Pyongyang with a seating capacity of 150,000. The stadium is very popular for being the venue where big shows celebrating Kim Il-sung and the North Korean republic were held. May Day Stadium was built as the main stadium for the “13th World Festival of Youth and Students” in 1989.
