If you are looking for a village that can be in a storybook, this medieval village is a perfect fit. This picturesque place is located on a hillside in Tuscany, just between Pisa and Florence and is the home of Pinocchio’s creator, Carlo Collodi, thus, this is where you can find the tallest wooden Pinocchio statue in the world. The Pinocchio Park (Parco di Pinocchio) is located in an ancient village in the Tuscan hills, in Collodi, this village is known to be the town of Pinocchio, where its author lived. Collodi is 30 minutes from Lucca and 1 hour from Florence. At Pinocchio Park children are immersed in the famous tale to relive it. We really liked the experience because our little girl was able to know better who Pinocchio was, learn more about the history of the wooden doll that became a child, and had a blast touring the park gardens, at the fairground attractions, on the zip line and watching the puppet show. The price is € 13 adults, children from 3 years pay € 7, children under 3 free. It really is a bit expensive for what they offer you as the park gives a little impression of abandonment and they limit you to 5 trips in the small fairground attractions. But it is a good place to visit on your trip in Tuscany with children because they will have a fun time and play with the other children, with one morning or one afternoon is enough to discover it.
