The volcanic eruption that happened more than 200 years ago covered a large landscape and created a fissure on the area. After so many years, thick layers of moss started to grow and turned the lava fields to a greenish carpet. The stretch of seven miles became the location of moss but with no trees. There are also arc formations and fairy rings adourning the area. Click the next ARROW to see the next image!
