These tunnels stretch from Scotland to Turkey, a phenomenon that remains to be a mystery up to this day. In Bavaria, around 700 metres of this network of tunnels have been discovered and these tunnels were small, around 70 cm in size. Speculations on the purpose of these tunnels include a theory that they were used for travelling safely and that these were built to protect people from predators. Click the next ARROW to see the next image!
