The Trift Suspension Bridge in Switzerland, located north of the Triftsee glacial mountain lake and the Trift glacier near Gadmen, Berner Oberland, in the Swiss Alps, has become a major tourist attraction for tourists of all ages, including children. This simple suspension bridge, which was originally used to transport workers to the power plant that used glacier water, was replaced in 2009 by a bridge of the same construction style, but more modern, with thick steel cables laid with pigs and safer. Since then it has been allowed to many visitors, curious and passionate about glaciers and mountaineering. After climbing the path that takes about 1.30 hours of walking, or the cable car from Meiringen, if you have previously booked tickets or have the patience to wait your turn, and after an extra walk on an additional climb you will face the suspension bridge Trift , where you rush to step on it. It is frightening at such a height, but it is something magnificent, unforgettable. The fantastic views of the mountain slopes surrounding Lake Triftsee, with its turquoise-colored waters embraced by the long tongue of the Trift glacier, will be a wonderful experience and an unforgettable memory.
