Mont Saint Michel is a place that is very different based on when you visit because tide affects if it’s in the middle of the sea or in the middle of a massive beach. A prison during the French Revolution, and was even abandoned in the late 18th century. Today it shows all its splendor both outside and inside. Visiting the Mont Saint-Michel abbey is contemplating its three-storey architecture and 20 rooms in the Gothic and Romanesque style, built incredibly on the rock and surrounded by walls, 80 meters high that can be seen from several kilometers away. At the top of the old building, the figure of the Archangel Saint Michael stands out.
