This museum displays collections of a group of artists known as the Macchiaioli, Tuscan painters with the goal to gain more freedom with expressing their art. Pioneered by Giovanni Fattori, artworks of this movement include that of Fattori, including Mandrie Maremmane. Also, there are works by Vittorio Corcos and Amedeo Modigliani.
