One of the popular snacks of Ukrainian cuisine, Kholodet is prepared with meat or fish as its main ingredient. It is a light and slightly spicy dish, so it is still everyone’s favorite. With a unique flavor of garlic and meat, it offers a delicious gastronomic experience. To prepare the Kholodet dish, the meat broth is simmered for a longer period of time until it is completely softened. Sometimes the meat broth is mixed with onion, carrots and bay leaves. It seems interesting, but it shows that the preparation of this dish is checked by dipping your fingers in it. If the fingers stick out, the broth is ready for the dish to be ready to serve. Borsch, also called Borscht or Borshch, is made from various vegetables such as beets, carrots, potatoes, cabbage and beans. However, the non-vegetarian version is also in fashion. Either way, the dish is governed by the bright red coloring of beets. The dish has a typical flavor of mixed vegetables. In the non-vegetarian version, the aroma of the meat is added to its flavor.
