The Meiji Shrine is one of the wonders of Tokyo. This lush vegetation area is the burial place of Emperor Meiji also known as Meiji the Great who was one of the rulers who brought reformation to Japan. The Shrine also serves as the burial place of his wife, Empress Shoken. This is should be on the top of your list because without this Emperor, Tokyo might not be what you see today.
