Over thousands of years, man has had a major influence on the world, and this museum has evidence of everything. Founded in 1857, the museum attractions more than 3 million people from all over the world. There are several sections or galleries in the museum, each with a different theme that discusses aspects of science. Gallery sections in the museum are power, exploring space, flight, Launchpad, making of the modern world, media space, information age, etc. Among the 300,000 objects on exhibition is the Stephenson’s Rocket, Puffing Billy, which is the oldest surviving steam locomotive. Science Museum is a truly educational museum that offers a huge collection of items that is good for informal education, for adults and children alike.
