Bath is a lovely city located in Somerset, a ceremonial county in South-West England. It is known for having rich historical and cultural landmarks, especially the Roman-built baths. There are also many museums and galleries in Bath holding thousands of years of history and civilization. Here are the best of those museums. Opened in 1900 to commemorate Queen Victoria’s diamond jubilee, the public museum has ever since been an important place for the people of England and Bath. There are two floors in the museum with an impressive collection of permanent and temporary exhibitions. You’ll get to see the work of respected artists like Turner and Gainsborough, and well as that of some very talented 20th-century artists. There are 1,500 decorative arts treasures in the museum, including a display of British oil paintings from the 17th century up until the present day. Click the next ARROW to see the next photo!
