The magnificent edifice is used to be called the National Museum of Turkestan. Established in the year 1876, the State Museum of History of Uzbekistan is one of Central Asian’s oldest museums. It houses more than 250,000 exhibits that reflect the history of Uzbekistan from the prehistory to recent times. Recently it has been renovated and it has an extended variety of exhibitions, which attracts more visitors. It is one of the best museums you could visit in Uzbekistan.
