Gorongosa National Park is usually spoken of as the “place where Noah parked his ark.” It has the presence of a variety of wildlife in abundance and was a popular destination for both the rich and famous tourists in the 1960’s. Though it lost a majority of its wildlife during the civil war, it has over the years bounced back. Gorongosa has various grassland and savanna as well as limestone gorges and woodlands.
