This road is built on cliffs that rise up to 2,000 feet, with just one lane and very few guardrails. During summer, it gets pelted by rockfalls; in the rainy season, the track turns muddy has limited traction while visibility gets hampered by fog and rain. Up to 300 people die on it every year.
