If you have heard of the saying, “lightning never strikes the same place twice”, you will be in for a surprise if you come to this place. Lying on the southwestern side of Lake Maracaibo, this location experiences lightning activity like no other. For more than 200 nights a year, lightning strikes 25 times per minute, especially during the months between May and October. As to why these occurrences take place, people can just speculate.
