Aside from being one of the remote islands of Cook Islands, Pukapuka also has a language of its own, known as Pukapukan. This small Polynesian coral atoll is also referred to as the island of beautiful girls. Interestingly, Pukapoukan only has four color terms and distinguishes between short and long vowels.
