This beautiful, but dangerous, bridge was built close to the Bavarian Alps to connect the cliffs of two sides with each other. At first glance, it will give you an overview of a properly structured bridge, but it is actually not—your heart would already pound when you are about to step onto it. Marienbruecke Bridge in Germany, with its beginnings in the 1845s, with the idea of King Maximilian II, the construction of a wooden bridge at the mouth of the Pöllat River, and later in 1866 with its metal construction and subsequent renovations, is one of the ten most dangerous bridges in the world. The bridge, located not far from Füssen, supported by two side rocks of the Pöllat River gorge, has an amazing view of the ancient Neuschwanstein castle, and further on the shores of Forggensee and Bannwaldsee lakes. It has a stable structure, in which the properties of antiquity, such as arches or railings, have been preserved during the renovation. Numerous visitors, who want to photograph the stunning views, wait their turn on the narrow path to the bridge, which is always full. Such a trip is worth a visit, where in addition to the bridge you can also visit the castle, or a walk in the lush forest of the mouth of the river Pöllat.
