The Palermo Cathedral still has the three apses, curved parapets and cross-over round arches which are typical of Norman architecture. There are several interesting features of the cathedral that makes it one of the beautiful places to visit in the city. These include the Gothic-Catalan portico, the triangular pediment and the mosaic of the Virgin Mary done on a gold background in the 13th century. Click the next ARROW to see the next image!
