The Norman Palace in Palermo is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This building is the imperial seat with Frederick II and Condrad IV and is the oldest royal residence in Europe. Located at the ancient centre of the city, at its highest point, this is an ornate 9th century palace and is also a museum.
