In the 13th century, the appearance of Caernarfon was enough to strike both fear and awe to anyone who caught a glimpse of her. Instead of the usual round towers, the castle features polygonal towers. Another attraction here is the Royal Welch Fusiliers Museum, which is located in two of Caernarfon’s towers.
