This aquarium, along with a museum, is housed in a building that was built in the 1930s and is called the Hydrobiological Station. Species from the Mediterranean Sea are presented in the aquarium to preserve them and raise awareness about them. These species include dolphins, seals, sharks, and sea turtles.
