Embark on an adventurous journey to follow the trails of the ubiquitous primate, Chimpanzee in the Kibale National Park. It is the paradise of some of the primates on the planet, including monkeys. The environment of more than 770 square kilometers of forest in the Kibale National Park was created as such in 1993. We were heading towards the South of the country, and we were ascending to the highlands of Uganda. The Kibale National Park is located at an altitude between 1100 and 1590 meters above sea level. Almost 80% of the park is formed by an evergreen forest, that is, it will be like this, as we see it all year round, and there are no times when visibility is better. Inside the park there is also some deciduous tree, some area of pastures, swamps and conifers. Within the Kibale National Park there are about 500 copies of chimpanzees, the largest claim in the area. However, this is not the only animal we can see inside the park. There are about 13 different species of primates, but also more than 300 species of birds, and about 30 mammals, among which the presence of the elephant, leopard and buffalo stands out. The Kibale National Park concentrates the largest population of primates in the African continent. Click the next ARROW to see the next photo!
