This fountain known as “The Ship” was a work of sculptural artist, Pietro Cascella and a famous monument in Pescara. Made from Carrara marble, this fountain has a rectangular tank with a ship. Some say that this symbolises “seafaring”, a tradition in Pescara while others see it as reliving the sufferings of the prisoners in Bourbon Fortress. Click the next ARROW to see the next image!
