Also referred to as the Pineta D’Annunzio, this nature reserve is named after the family Avalos and on the southern part of the city. While it is an urbanised area today, it used to be covered with pinewoods and scrub forest. With an area of 53 hectares, 35 percent is still an ancient forest and is where different species of Mediterranean shruns and plants grow. Click the next ARROW to see the next image!
