This is where the Manchester Cathedral is situated right at the banks of Irwell. This was built in 1422-1506, which was raised to a cathedral status by 1847. This place has some attractive chapels as well on both sides of the choir and nave. Another site worth the visit is the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, which was built in 1794 known as The Hidden Gem.
