Ponza is the largest island in a small archipelago called the Pontine Islands in the Tyrrhenian Sea. Its little accessibility, although it has been inhabited since very ancient times, since it can only be reached by boat, and the beauty of its beaches are an ideal place for rest. This pontine island in the Tyrrhenian Sea off the coast halfway between Rome and Naples is uninhabited, but throughout the summer it is one of the most dream destinations in Italy. Book a small cruise or rent your own boat from Ponza port to sail to Palmarola and spend a day swimming in the turquoise seas and admiring the rugged white cliffs. Don’t miss La Cattedrale at the northernmost point of the island.
