About 98% of the adult citizens of the Maldives are educated. Thanks to UNICEF who brought the dream of educating a large population of the citizens to fruition. Due to the inability to create one school to cater to the needs of residents scattered across the nation, UNICEF created Teacher Resource Centers to utilize the internet to carry out long-distance learning across the country. 100% of the children of residents enrolled in school, and about 99% graduated.
