Also part of the Durham UNESCO World Heritage Site, this structure, with British Romanesque-style architecture was constructed from the 11th and 12th century to be the resting place of Venerable Bede and St. Cuthbert. The interiors boasts of a Galilee Chapel, with a Norman Nave filled with massive columns and piers. The cathedral tower has 325 steps.
